SAN JUAN, Abra, Jan .8 (PIA) — Eleven year old Chris Jaykob “Blade” B. Ortega was recently declared as Junior Olympic Champion and the world’s 7th placer in the 60-pounder division in boxing in California, USA.
Ortega hails from this town but his family migrated to Sacramento, California. He is the eldest son of Jessie Chris and Jennifer Ortega and grandson of Vice-Mayor Rosalinda Billedo-Ortega of San Juan.
Prior to his recent award, Ortega had won numerous fights with the North California Championship in 2014 and the Central Pacific Region Championship in 2015.
