“Aramid” Art Exhibit Launched

BAGUIO CITY – From solar, coffee and sand art to paintings on canvas to mixed media, the Tam-Awan Village Artists (TVA) deliver a variety of visual arts in their collection gathered in a show dubbed as “Aramid”.
Launched on March 30 at the SM City Baguio Atrium, “Aramid” features works by Chanum Foundation president Jordan Mang-osan, Ged Alangui, Clinton, Aniversario, Alfred Dato, Art Lozano, Tara Natividad, Edwin Macadaeg, Patric Palasi, Mark Tandayog, Jennifer Lorenzo, Gretta Apolinar, and Marlyn Bulayo.
According to a release by the TVA, “Aramid is an exhibit that presents a collaboration of works which offers a mix of pieces from solar, coffee and sand art with contemporary works paintings on canvas, and mixed media.”
The exhibit features works by the sole solar painter in the country, Mang-osan, coffee painting by Palasi, and sand art by Macadeg. The exhibit runs until April 5, 2015./JDP/Pryce E. Quintos- PIA CAR
