BAGUIO CITY– After the lucky summer visitor and holy week activities, the Summer Vacation (Sumvac) schedule which includes religious, sports, culture and arts and private events go on until May and June.
The whole day Pet one dog show is on April 27 at Melvin Jones Grandstand, Burnham Park; as a Basic Resin workshop goes on at the Pine cone Bed and Breakfast, South Drive on the same date.
The Liberation of Baguio commemoration with city officials, World War II and other veterans proceed in the morning of April 27 at the Veterans’ Park, Harisson road.
On April 28-29, the Saint Louis University (SLU) Dance troupe performs at the SLU Center for Culture and Arts; while the first Baguio City Robotics Cup Open 2019 at the Multi-purpose Hall, Mt. Province Mission, St. Joseph Village is on April 28.
On May 4, the Grand Santacruzan with Reyna Elenas and consorts converge and parade down Session road, with a 2 PM mass at the Our Lady of Atonement Cathedral.
For sports lovers and marathoners, the Benguet Gold rush 100k run at Camp John Hay goes on May 11 and 12, with registration on May 10, 4 PM on-site. Interested individuals are urged to browse online for details and requirements.
On April 23, the summer arts and crafts workshop is hosted by the Forest house assessment and training center, while on-going up to June 2 is Summer Creatives at the Dominican Heritage Hill.
The SLU CCA sponsors the SLU orchestra concert on May 8.
The 9th Tam-awan international arts festival goes on at the village on May 25 while the CordeMayo will be on May 27-31 at the University of the Cordilleras.
Other events to look forward to are: Chalk Arts festival, fitness, Festival on June 9: freedom and Zumba marathon, Taraki Obstacle Race course challenge; and private events in malls.
Commemoration of Birth anniversaries of Horacio dela costa on May 9, Andres Bonifacio on May 10, Apolinario Mabini on May 13, Philippine-Australia Friendship day on May 22, Felipe Agoncillo on May 26, and National Flag day celebration on May 8 to 12; all at the Baguio City National High School gymnasium.
