Benguet Coop Council Lines up Trainings for COOP Officers, Staff

LA TRINIDAD, Benguet – The Benguet Cooperative Provincial Development Council (BCPDC) pipelined series of trainings this year for cooperative officers and staff to boost their skills to ensure the successful operation of their respective cooperatives.
The BCPDC is a conduit of the Benguet Provincial Government Cooperative Development Services accredited in 2013 as cooperative training provider by the Cooperative Development Authority.

The provincial government is continuously assisting coops to avail of trainings to enhance their skills.

It is through these trainings that the provincial government extends assistance in coming up with a doable, workable, and result-achieving cooperative operation among coops across the province, according to Provincial Cooperative Development Specialist II Lilia Koh.

The CDA requires cooperative officers to acquire curricula of trainings from accredited training providers as mandatory requirement to develop their competencies in effectively performing their expected functions.

The training schedules are as follows: Basic Cooperative Course on May 28-29, 2015 ; Cooperative Management and Governance on June 9-11; Financial Management on July 1-3, all to be held at Palispis Hall, Provincial capitol; and Records Management from July 23-24 at Abatan Municipal Social Hall in Abatan, Buguias.
