BAGUIO CITY – About 20 stall holders at the botanical garden had a meeting with mayor Mauricio Domogan and City Environment and Parks Management Office last Tues., Jan. 5.
It is remembered that said stall holders were operating many years back without paying rental fees to the city government of Baguio which the Commission on Audit questioned it.
Because of this, the city urged the stall owners to pay a reasonable amount of rental fee.
During the meeting, it was agreed upon that the stall holders will pay P5,000 lump sum to the city government here in order to off-set the number of years of operation at the Botanical Garden.
Also, beginning this year, said stall holders will pay rental fee of P150 per square meter per month.
Domogan directed the CEPMO to prepare the contract of lease indicating the terms and conditions which will be subsequently forwarded to the city council for confirmation. Once confirmed, the stall holders will start paying their obligations with the city /Jho Arranz
