BAGUIO CITY – City government department heads Monday agreed to hold regular meetings also every Monday to forge a closer working relationship and facilitate action on concerns and issues.
City budget officer Leticia Clemente and city administrator Carlos Canilao said the Monday assignation will enable the officials to interact more and discuss and face issues head on for faster solution and action.
“It will allow us to openly discuss our concerns department-head-to-department-head,” Clemente said.
It will be held immediately after the regular executive-legislative breakfast meeting led by Mayor Mauricio Domogan at the city multi-purpose hall.
A test run last Monday saw the executives discussing issues on the gender and development programs’ need to be streamlined in departmental planning and on the need for coordination in the purchase of the supplies by offices involved in disaster preparedness, rescue and relief with the onset of the typhoon season.
The executives also agreed to return the ambulance earlier donated by the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) which has not been serving its purpose because of its unsuitability to the city’s road condition.
The heads also agreed to keep track of the performance of their workforce to upgrade their capability and effect better service to the public.
