City Plans for the 115th Philippine Civil Service Anniversary Celebration

BAGUIO CITY – The Philippine Civil Service will be marking its 115th anniversary of the Civil Service Commission with the theme “Kayang Kaya Mo, Lingkod Bayani.”
Consequently, the city government in Baguio in collaboration with the CSC Baguio Field Office is preparing for the activities commemorative of the 115th Philippines Civil Service that will take place in September.
Recently, mayor Mauricio Domogan created a committee that will manage and spearhead the 115th anniversary of the PSC and the appropriate celebration of the Civil Service month this coming September through Administrative Order 056.
Congressman Nicasio Aliping, Jr. is the honorary chairman of the said committee, with mayor Domogan as the chair; vice mayor Edison Bilog as vice chairman; city council chair on ethics, governmental affairs and personnel, councilor Lilia Yaranon and officer-in-charge of the city human resource management office, supervising administrative officer Christine Flores as the action officer.
Members include Atty. Carlos Canilao, city treasurer Alicia Onoza, city budget officer Leticia Clemente, city accountant Antonio Tabin, city genereal services officer Romeo Concio, city health officer Dr. Rowena Galpo, city planning and development officer Evelyn Cayat, executive assistant Rafael Tallocoy, 2nd level representative of city PRAISE Ramon Micu, 1st representative of PRAISE Florentino Tizon, and Local Government Unit-Baguio City Employees Association, Inc. president Marietta Alvarez.
Said committee convened last June 30 to thrash out activities for this year’s celebration of the 115th PSC anniversary.
Highlighting the month long activities will be the Annual Awards and Luncheon Program for the city government of Baguio employees who have been in government services for 10 years and every succeeding five years thereafter up to 40 years of service; employees who finished the Bachelor of Laws and Letters; masteral honorees, doctorate graduates, retiring employees, nominees and outstanding employees of the year, among others.
In recognition for the dedication to public service, loyalty awardees will be expecting memorabilia from the city government.
There will be “Ugnayan at Balitaan” so as to improve and develop the city government’s delivery of basic services for the people of Baguio.
The Baguio Day will kick off the month long activities of the city.
As in the past, there will be livelihood proposed activities and the much awaited raffle draws for city government employees.
To tie up with the celebration, city hall employees will have a community service in their respective barangays as well as clean up drive along Balili River.
