City’s merit selection plan, finalized

BAGUIO CITY – City human resource management office (CHRMO) head Augustin Laban III said that his office has finalized revisions on the city’s merit selection plan to conform with the 2017 omnibus rules on appointments and other human resource actions.

He added that after the approval by the Civil Service Commission, the CHRMO will also revise the city’s “green book” that was last updated in 2007 or 11 years ago. The green book contains the functions, requirements, descriptions of every position in the city government and other important information.

Laban also announced that City hall’s 2018 mini-olympics and fun games will be conducted on April 6, Friday, at the Athletic bowl starting 8 am. He enjoined all officials and employees to participate in the whole-day activity.

For his part, Representative Mark Go is urging all those in government to always remember that they are not only working for themselves and their families but more importantly for the public’s welfare.

“Something great and beautiful will be created if we all work together in accomplishing the government’s mission of serving the people in the best way possible,” he stressed in Monday’s flag-raising rites at City Hall. /Gaby Keith
