BONTOC, Mountain Province, March 12(PIA) – Two medical doctors led health providers hired by the Department of Health(DOH) under its Human Resource for Health Programs to be deployed in the grassroots level this year.
Judith Louise Daoas of the Provincial DOH Office here said the two doctors under the Doctor to the Barrio (DTTB) program are Dr. Janice Dines Dumansi who is assigned at the Sabangan Rural Health Unit and Dr. Melchor Patal-e for Upper Bauko.
Daoas said 32 of the total allotted Human Resource for Health (HRH) in the province are under the Nurse Deployment Program, 12 for Rural Health Midwives Placement Program for birthing facilities, 10 for Public Health Associates Deployment Project, three under the Medical Technologist Deployment Project, two for the Pharmacist Deployment Project , two TB case finders who are assigned in the municipalities of Natonin and Paracelis, and one dentist and universal health care implementer.
The deployment of doctors, nurses, midwives, dentists and other health professionals in RHUs is a strategy of the DOH in support to the overall goal of the Universal Health Care. /(PIA Mt. Province)
