A member of a local drug group and his wife were collared by anti-narcotics agents of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency Cordillera during a buy-bust operation yesterday afternoon along Bokawkan Road.
Ansary Mamayandog Pumbaya alias Aksa/Ansari, 45 years old, driver, native of Marawi City, Lanao del Sur and a resident of Cypress, Irisan, Baguio City was arrested together with his 27-year old wife when they sold two sachets containing shabu weighing 53.7777 grams, with a street value of P220,488.57, to a PDEA-CAR operative.
Confiscated during the sting operation from the couple were the prohibited drugs, buy-bust money worth P70,000.00, a black Nokia mobile phone and a Toyota Vios driven by Ansary.
They are temporarily detained at the PDEA-CAR Regional Office holding facility pending the filing of violation of R.A. No. 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 before the proper authorities./J.F. Calulut
