Food Safety Forum

BAGUIO CITY – A whole-day Philippine Food Safety Forum will be held here in the city on Oct. 27, at the Crown Legacy Hotel, Legarda road.
This is the content of the letter to Mayor Mauricio Domogan from director Henry Palaca who said topics to be discussed are: Food Safety Preparedness of the Philippines, Philippine Food Safety Act Implementation updates, Trends and Solutions in Combatting Food Fraud, Food Technologies to Extend Shelf Life, and Food Safety Standardization Certification.
Other topics to be tackled are: Sustainable Agriculture Perspective on Food Safety, and Best Practices and Current Trends in Managing Food Safety in the Food Service Industry.
The forum is a nationwide advocacy, campaign and commitment to food safety. Conference kits will be given to attendees, with corresponding rates for students and professionals, Palaca said in his letter.
On its third consecutive year, the theme of the event is “Strengthening Food Safety of the Philippine Food Supply Chain, Palaca also stated in his letter.
