A total of 1.3 tons of fresh locally produced vegetables were prepared and served to at least 2,000 people, each receiving a full plate of the sumptuous greens Thursday (July 13, 2017) during the Giant Vegetable Salad event at the La Trinidad Trading Post in Benguet. The event is in commemoration of the establishment of the vegetable trading post on July 13, 1984, and aims to highlight the contribution and importance of the highland vegetable industry of Benguet and the Cordillera region.
