LAGAWE, Ifugao – This capital town hosted the kick -off of the “Biyaya ng Pagbabago” Caravan 2017 on December 1 led by the Office of the Cabinet Secretary (OCS) through the Office of Participatory Governance (OPG).
Director IV Vittorio Jerico Cawis of the OPG said the “Biyaya ng Pagbabago” program through the Office of the President seeks to fuse all anti-poverty programs of various government agencies provide better living conditions for the people.
Undertaken in partnership with the different municipalities, other concerned government offices in the province and the Kilusang Pagbabago – Lead Organization Ifugao Chapter, the caravan will move on from Luzon to the Visayas and culminates in Davao City on December 9 with President Rodrigo Duterte as the guest of honor.
The Biyaya ng Pagbabago caravan aims to increase people’s awareness on the government’s pro-poor programs and drum up efforts to alleviate poverty.
The lead agency will consolidate all poverty alleviation programs of the national government in order to complement each other to address poverty issues and target specific areas and beneficiaries/sectors, Cawis said. /PIA Ifugao
