EPISODES IN THE LIFE OF JESUS THAT PROVE HE IS GOD AND SAVIOR: To all the members of the Anak ng Diyos Kadugo Ni Kristo (or the Children of God Blood Kin of the Christ) Church, they have been reared on the many proofs from the Bible which they can use to prove that Jesus is God and Savior, the One who was promised to come to receive the penalty intended for sinners.

In the “Basic Doctrinal Teachings” of the Church, some of these proofs have been taken from 18 episodes in the life of Jesus when He was still here in this world. From the point of view of the members of the Church, who are also called Children of God Blood Kin of the Christ, these episodes in His life unqualifiedly prove that He is God and Savior, nothing more, nothing less.

What are these episodes in the life of Jesus that show Him to be God and Savior? First, the announcement of His coming to this world (Isaiah 7:14, 9:2 and 9:6, Luke 1:26-38, Matthew 1:18-25). Second, Mary’s visit to Elizabeth (Luke 1:39-45). Third, the birth of Jesus (Luke 2:1-20, Matthew 1:18-25).

“MIGHTY GOD, EVERLASTING FATHER”: Sixteenth, the resurrection of Jesus (Matthew 28:1-20, Mark 16:1-20, Luke 24:1-53, John 20:21). Seventeenth, the ascension of Jesus (Mark 16:19-20, Luke 24:50-53). Eighteenth, the descent of the Holy Spirit (Acts 2:1-41).

If we read these chapters and verses which depict the different episodes in the life of Jesus, we can see the proof from the Bible attesting to Jesus as God and Savior. And just so we understand this, let us read and find out what Isaiah 9:6 is saying.

Based on this verse, it is established that a son is born to the world, who was prophesied to be conceived by a virgin who would give birth to him. Because this son was conceived and given birth to by a human being, many will say that he, the son, would also be human. But, Isaiah 9:6 is firm: this son is to be called “Mighty God and Everlasting Father.”
