LBP Baguio branch moves to new location

BAGUIO CITY – The Land Bank of the Philippines,in is continuing effort to ensure better banking service and convenience to clients, moved its Baguio branch to the Curamed Building along Marcos Highway, near the Baguio General Hospital and Medical Center.

LBP First Vice President Ma. Belma Turla and Assistant Vice President Liza Melendez with Baguio Mayor Mauricio Domogan, led the ribbon cutting of the LBP Branch. Our Lady of Lourdes parish priest, Fr. Andrew Claver officiated the mass and blessing of the bank.

Turla explained that the relocation of the LBP Baguio Branch to its new site generally aims to provide better service to their clients given its wider and more comfortable working space, good ambiance and accessible location.

Turla, also the cluster head of the Land Bank North Luzon branches, disclosed that aside from the 44 LBP Banks and 12 Land Bank Easy Facilities in this northern part of the country, LBP is also set to convert Postal Banks as additional LBP branches to bring their services closer to the people and ensure better banking convenience to their clients.

Melendez, who also heads the LBP Baguio Branch, meantime appeals to their clients to bear with them that as they are still working for the restoration of online services. She advises Land Bank ATM users to temporarily use their off – site ATM machines.

LBP Baguio has ATM machines at the Post Office (2 units), DSWD Office at North Drive, National Telecommunications Office (near Pacdal Circle), Regional Trial Court – Baguio and Philippine Military Academy (2 units). Another ATM is also set to operate at the Baguio City National High School.

Melendez assured that LBP is continuously upgrading its online services to ensure better banking convenience for their clients.

For the LBP Baguio Branch, they are set to install a Cash Deposit Machine, an additional window for cash depositors that will also de – clogg the bank lobby.

She also disclosed that LBP has many e – bank services such as the “I – Access” (for individual) and “We Access” (for corporations) that also offers online payment of bills and also cashless shopping with the use of the LBP ATM debit cards.

LBP is also set to launch the Link Biz Portal wherein taxpayers can pay their taxes through their debit cards.

We are trying our best to minimize clients lining up and de clog our banks through innovations. The bottom line is we want to provide our clients better and convenient banking service, Melendez said. (CCD/PIA CAR)
