Leader of notorious motornapping group operating in CAR arrested by HPG-COR

Baguio City- Based on a warrant of arrest for carnapping against accused Ceasar Antonio issued by the Hon. Marybelle Demot Marinas, presiding judge of RTC Branch 8, Benguet, the Highway patrol Group-CAR (HPG-COR) headed by its Regional Chief P/Supt. Ferdinand Noel DC. Villanueva , organized a tracking team to effect the manhunt, arrest and capture of the subject accused motornapper. In the previous year (2014) the Cordillera Region had approximately 386 reported incidents of motornapping and for the period January to June 2015 there so far been 217 reported incidents of motornapping. Due to this alarming rates of motornapping, the current active and dynamic leadership of the HPG –COR had no choice but to immediately organize an HPG –COR tracking team and was headed by SPO2 Constacio C. Balilis Jr., and PO3 Danny Killiaen, Intel PNCO of Mankayan MPS, arrested Ceasar Antonio y Alicwadey “alyas” Joel Gawek y Budosen, 23 years of age and a resident of Balili Mankayan, Benguet. The accused was arrested at KM 6 Betag, La Trinidad, Benguet. The bail bond for the temporary release of t he accused was set at One Hundred Eighty Thousand Pesos (P 180,000.00).
