Mt. Province municipal officials proclaimed; 23 incumbents reelected

BONTOC, Mountain Province – Twenty eight incumbent municipal officials(4 mayors, one vice mayor, and 23 councilors) who got fresh mandate for another three year term in the May 9, 2016 elections, together with the other newly elected leaders in the ten towns of the province have been proclaimed by their respective Municipal Board of Canvassers (MBoC).

Proclaimed winners in the municipality of Barlig are incumbent vice mayor Genesis Changilan as the elected mayor, David Osborn Fomocod is vice mayor, and councilors are Rolly Agyao, Delio Focad, John Joven, Fares Abiasan, Benjamin Pinos-an, Raquel Pangowon, Joseph Layong, and Rexibar Charaychay.

In Bauko, incumbent mayor Abraham Akilit retained his post, while Bartolo Badecao ran unopposed for vice mayor. Councilors – Ricky Samidan , Ashley Sili, Labor Masidong, Susan Awisan, Eduardo Patnay, Sabado Pussan, Mario Gaoken , and Arcadio Taganas.,

In Besao, Johnson Bantog II ran unopposed for mayor. June Lopsoten is vice mayor, and councilors are Sabet Buyagan, Gerry Caysoen, Alfredo Beyden , Henry Bosigen, Policarpio Pekas, Kitano Liwaliw, Go Martin, and Nicanor Bacwaden.

In Bontoc, Mayor Franklin Odsey is unopposed. Vice mayor is Eusebio Kabluyen. Councilors are Viola Okko, Esteban Nguddo, Sir Koryan Chumacog, Herman Farnican, Alsannyster Patingan, Alfredo Awichen, Alexandre Claver, and Robert Dacyon.

In Natonin, mayor Mateo Chiyawan retained his post and vice mayor is Fernandez Linggayo. Councilors – Raymundo Lapasen, Fernando, Jr. Magranga, Rafael Bulawe, Christopher Bayowan Patricio Corcha, Jose Biangalen, Joel Latiga, and Rufo Puyao.

Paracelis – mayor: Avelino Amangyen, vice mayor: Lister Carlos. Councilors are Maycelle Olosan, Lito Basungit, Rainier Calunnag, Benjamin Manat, Djarma Rafael, Gaston Todco, Marc Lappao and Ateneo Gusimat.

In Sabangan, Venancio Lipawen and Dario Esden are the new mayor and vice mayor respectively. Councilors – Fausto Ballakis, Roman Bacog, Enrique Litilit, Eustaquio Boy-og, Ruben Subilla, Ambrosio Galleo, Joseph Bernardez and Crispin Altaki.

In Sadanga, mayor is Jose Limmayog, Jr. while vice mayor is Joseph Apopot. Councilors are Godeliva Dangiwan-Gamonnac, Chongchongan Sarang-ey, Jonathan Gayyaman, Filemon Fomak-chong, Ceasar Asgcarao, Juliet Chinalpan, Alonso Fattit and Mathew Fanao.

In Sagada, elected mayor is James Pooten, Jr. while vice mayor Benjamin Capuyan retained his post. Councilors – Felicito Dula, Peter Tauli, David Tallusen Buyagan, Dave Theodore Gulian, Joseph Aclopen, Ezra Wadingan, Jerry Ticag and Milton Tawali.

Mayor Anthony Wooden of Tadian has no opponent. Alfonso Polan is the elected vice mayor, and councilors are George Bisen, Jr., Jayne Saong, Gilbert Lao-ay, Lucas Buned, James Abadod, Robinson Pil-ingen, Joseph Cawilli and Adolf Balangoy.
