ALFONSO LISTA, Ifugao – The just concluded two-day National Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) Enrollment Day and Jobs Bridging at the municipal gymnasium netted almost 2,000 enrolees and applicants here.
The Technical Skills Development Authority (TESDA) in Ifugao who spearheaded the event in partnership with other government and non-government organizations reported that a total of 1,881 individuals enrolled in the different qualifications or courses and applied in the jobs offering.
Of the various short courses offered, Personal Computer Operation National Certificate (NC) II topped the number of enrolees with 190 followed by the Agricultural Crop Production NC II with 184 enrolees and 174 for Driving NC II.
The courses are offered by TESDA Technology Institution and other 11 participating technical vocational institutions in the province.
Meanwhile, three overseas recruitment agencies and four local employment agencies participated in the activity held on February 27-28. A total of 174 job seekers had applied to the various jobs offered.
