BAGUIO CITY – With the city government of Baguio’s Program on Awards and Incentives for Service Excellence (PRAISE), 26 nominees for outstanding employees for the second semester, July to December last year were recognized during the regular flag raising ceremony, last week at City Hall grounds.
All the 26 nominees were screened based attendance, punctuality, wearing of prescribed uniform with identification cards, exemplary accomplishments for the second semester, and participation on community service.
Administrative aide Gloria Laureta of the city human resource management office was awarded outstanding employee for the semester (OES), first level.
The other first level nominees include Jonathan Alejandro (accounting office), Salvador Belen (treasury office), Elena Berganio (mayor’s office), Vanessa Venis Bernardez (administrator’s office), Cesaria Buayan (veterinary office), Josephine Cosep (city environment and parks management office), Emilia dela Cruz (social welfare office), David Dumngal (city buildings and architecture office), Edmundo Gundran, Jr. (sangguniang panlungsod), Myrna Holanio (health services office), Ma. Concepcion Itliong (local civil registrar), Juan Manantan (city engineer’s office), and Democrito Monsalud, Jr. (city assessor’s office).
Meanwhile librarian Fe Requilman of the mayor’s office bested among the other nominees for the second level.
The other second level OES nominees include George Addawe (treasury office), Annie Germaine Alngangeo (social welfare office), Raquel Ancheta (accounting office), Amy Jane Calugay (city engineer’s office), Candido delos Santos (health services office), Ranche domantay (city human resource management office), Janathan Fontanos (sangguniang panlungsod), Israel Galvez (city buildings and architecture office), Carolina Gonzales (veterinary office), Caesar Onoza (assessor’s office), and Luz Perez (local civil registrar).
Both Laureta and Requilman received plaques of recognition plus Php3,500 cash incentives each. The nominees also received Php1,500 cash incentives and plaques of recognition each.
Acknowledging and recognizing the exemplary performances of the employees is one way of motivating them to do their duties and responsibilities better.
