Pag-ibig Inks MOA with City Paid Informal Employees

BAGUIO CITY – the city government here entered into a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with home Development Mutual Fund(Pag-ibig Fund) on the coverage of its informal or ‘Job Order” employees.
The MOA was signed by Mayor Mauricio Domogan representing the City government of Baguio and Pag-Ibig Fund Ilocos Region Area Head Lilia Anguluan last June 10 at the Mayor’s office with Pag-Ibig Baguio Branch Head Ma. Teresa Salem and head marketing Lilian Nievera.
As per the MOA, Pag-Ibig Fund desires to extend its membership to self-employed or the job orders employed with the city government with informal monthly income.
The Job orders manifested their desire and willingness to register as Pag-Ibig Fund members and has given authority to the city government to deduct from their salary the membership dues.
The city government on the other will facilitate their membership by submitting to Pag-Ibig Fund the list of Job Orders including their monthly income and their duly accomplished Pag-Ibig Fund members data form.
Job orders who will register with the fund will have a monthly Pag-ibig membership contribution equivalent to two percent of their gross income, however a member can contribute more than two percent if he desires.
The monthly Pag-Ibig membership contributions will be collected by the city government and remitted to Pag-Ibig Fund.
Interested job orders who will be registering with the fund will be eligible for the Pag-Ibig Multi-Purpose Loan (MPL) and Housing Loan which is being availed by regular members./Paul Rillorta
