BAGUIO CITY – The Philippine Red Cross Baguio Chapter recently recognized various institutions as well as individuals for their continuing and unending support to the institution during the Blood Donors Month recognition ceremony last July 27 at SM Baguio Events Center with the theme, “Blood Connects Us All.”
Testimonial plaques were given to the University of Baguio for its 18 year service achievement with 2,311 blood units collected; University of the for its 14 year service achievement with 1, 498 blood units collected; and, Alpha Phi Omega-Gamma Pi Chapter (UP-Baguio) for its 13 year service achievement with 1,024 blood units collected.
Said testimonial plaque is given to individual or group that has given 1,000 units of blood in ten years.
For its five years in partnership with at least 500 blood units collected, the Blood Services Platinum Award were given to the Philippine Military academy with 2,323 blood units collected, E-Carta Media Production and Promotions (98.7 Z-radio “Tambalang Sagip Buhay”) with 1.060 blood units collected, ABC-CBN TV 3 Baguio with 623 blood units collected, SM City Baguio with 555 blood units collected, Pines City Colleges with 552 blood units collected, and MOOG Controls Corporation with 515 blood units collected.
The Scroll of Honor, which is awarded to institution or group which has given a minimum 200 of cumulative total of blood within a minimum of four years distinguished service as a leader, official or unit went to the SLU Boys High Batch 87, City Government of Baguio, and APO-PHI (Baguio-Benguet).
Baguio Central University and Rotary Club of Downtown Session received the Diploma Service who has given a minimum of 100 units of blood cumulative total within a minimum of two years distinguished service as a leader, official or unit.
Moreover, Certificates of Appreciation were given to the Government Service Insurance System, Philippine Dental Association Inc., Baguio City Dental Chapter, City Health Services Office, Maharlika Livelihood Complex, Philippine Biblical Theological Seminary, Teacher’s Camp-Cabinet Hill barangay, Abanao Square Mall, Technical Education and Skills Development, Lex Libertatis, and Baguio City National High School.
Chapter certificates of appreciation were also given to Jollibee Food Corporation (Harrison Branch), Overseas Workers Welfare Association, 51 Talk, Baguio Vegetable Retailers Savings and Credit Cooperative, BAMAPCOM Entrepreneurs Multi-purpose Cooperative, Philhealth-CAR, Baguio Center for Young Adults, Triskelions’ Grand Fraternity-Sorority and ABC 360.
Barangays Quezon Hill, Asin Road, Ferdinand, Outlook Drive, Victoria Village, Manuel Roxas, Pinsao Pilot, MRR-Queen of Peace, Irisan, Sta. Escolastica Village, Padre Zamora, Holyghost, Aurora Hill Proper and Pacdal also received chapter certificate of appreciation.
Also recognized as support group includes Hamada Publishing Corporation (Baguio Midland Courier), Sunstar Baguio, General Services Office, City Health Services Office, Philippine Medical Women’s Association, Department of Health-CAR, 98.7 Z-Radio, and Philippine Information Agency-CAR.
