Quezon Elem. School has two new classrooms

BAGUIO CITY – One of the Summer Capital’s oldest elementary schools has additional classrooms thanks to the generosity of a private company.

A Turn-Over Agreement has been executed recently on the completion of two classrooms at the Manuel L. Quezon Elementary School (MLQES) between Councilor Edgar Avila and La Faayette Luxury Suites represented by spouses Rowena and Paul Lalwani.

Also in the agreement are Barangay Military Cut-Off represented by punong barangay Randy Valdez, DepEd-Baguio and MLQES represented by Schools Div. Supt. Federico Martin and School Head Danilo Gayao, respectively, and Mayor Mauricio Domogan representing the city government.

The parties entered into the Turn-Over Agreement in the presence of former Rep. Nicasio Aliping, Jr. and several barangay officials.

The agreement adopts by way of reference and incorporation the Memorandum of Agreement entered into earlier this year.

It was Avila, chair of the city council’s committee on urban planning, lands and housing, who through his initiative, solicited funding for the construction of the classrooms from La Faayette Luxury Suites who were thanked by Domogan and the other parties for its generosity. /Gaby Keith
