BAGUIO CITY – Two universities in Baguio City are among the top performing schools in the recent Medical Technologist licensure examinations.
Saint Louis University (SLU) is ranked as the second best performing school while the University of Baguio (UB) is the sixth best performing school in the March 2019 Medical Technologist board exams released by the Professional Regulation Commission.
SLU has a 99.65 passing rate with its 285 passers out of 286 examinees while UB had a 92.55 passing rate with 84 passers out of the 91 examinees.
Cagayan State University- Andrews Campus in Tuguegarao City and the Adventists University of the Philippines tied as the Top 1 performing schools having 100 percent passing rate with 127 passers and 72 passers, respectively.
Meanwhile, Ina Desiree Lacno Mamauag of UB is at the Top 9 with an 89.10 rating while Graciela Mariel Quintos Cabreros of SLU is in Top 10 spot with an 88.90 rating.
The PRC announced that 2,801 out of 4,092 passed the Medical Technologist Licensure Examination given by the Board of Medical Technology in the cities of Manila, Baguio, Cagayan De Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Tuguegarao and Zamboanga this March 2019. The results were released in three working days from the last day of examination.
Registration for the issuance of Professional Identification Card (ID) and Certificate of Registration will be done on-line from April 1 to April 12, 2019. Passers are advised to visit www.prc.gov.ph and follow instructions for initial registration.
Those who will register are required to bring the following: downloaded duly accomplished Oath Form or Panunumpa ng Propesyonal, notice of admission (for identification only), 2 pieces passport sized pictures (colored with white background and complete name tag), 2 sets of documentary stamps and 1 piece short brown envelope. Successful examinees should personally register and sign in the Roster of Registered Professionals.
The date and venue for the oath taking ceremony of the new successful examinees in the said examination will be announced later.
Those who failed the board examination but had obtained a general rating of at least 70% can register as Medical Laboratory Technician.
SLU is also the second best performing school in the March 2019 Pharmacist Licensure Examination with a 97.22 passing rating.
