BANGUED, Abra — The Social Security System (SSS), Bangued Branch is encouraging the people of Abra ages 15 to 59 years old to enroll for their social security.
Branch Manager Eduard Urua said this is in line with the aim of SSS to provide universal coverage.
Following the concept of development that is “From Womb to Tomb”, SSS provides benefits ranging from maternity benefits to sickness benefits, disability benefits, salary loans, calamity loans, retirement/pension and death benefits.
There are two types of SSS coverage namely compulsory coverage and voluntary coverage.

On the Real Time Processing/Posting of Contributions (RTPC), a flagship program of SSS, Urua said members have to register online in order to get their Payment Reference Number (PRN).
Benjamin Rivera, Accounts Department head, explained the use of the PRN. He said, members can pay their contributions to the Bayad Centers. SSS members can also pay their contributions to the banks that are PRN-compliant. (JDP/MBB-PIA CAR, Abra)
