BAGUIO CITY – The Technical Education and Skills Development Authority and a leading construction company in the country are offering a free training for welding graduates that are TESDA NC II holders.

TESDA Cordillera Regional Information Officer Anthony Oria, in an interview over ‘PIA Hour’ program, announced that for the third time, EEI will be sponsoring a free two months training for welders.

There are 500 slots given by EEI for Cordillera and the training is being done by batch with 20 trainees per batch.

The free training is open to 23 to 33 years old welding graduates that have TESDA NCII certification.

“Application is still open and the next batch of trainees will start on May 28”, Oria said.

He disclosed that the TESDA Regional Training Center is only among the three technical – vocational institutions in Luzon that EEEI picked for its training program. The corporation shoulders all the supplies, equipment and trainers, plus the P250 daily allowance for trainees that includes P50 as payment for (welding) electricity use. The trainees will have a chance to eventually work for the company.
