TESDA Opens Free Scholarships to Residents

BAGUIO CITY – Mayor Mauricio Domogan announced available scholarships for city residents most especially the underprivileged being offered by the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) in Partnership with the City Government here.

The program is under the Training for Work Scholarship Program (TWSP) of TESDA.
In order to qualify for the scholarship grant, the applicant must be a resident of Baguio, a barangay certificate should be presented to this effect.

Must be 18 years old and should have graduated from high school and should not have previously availed of the TWSP, PESFA, & other TESDA scholarship program from 2006-2014.

The following are being offered; Barista NC II – 65 slots, Bartending NC II – 45 slots, Bread and Pastry Production NC II – 85 slots, Cookery NC II – 50 slots, Food and Beverage Services NC II – 50 slots, Training Methodology NC II – 25 slots, Computer Numeric Control Lathe Machine Operation NC II – 20 slots, Computer Numeric Control Milling Machine Operation NC II – 20 slots, Electrical Installation and Maintenance NC II – 50 slots, English Language Proficiency – 149 slots, Gas Metal Arc Welding NC II – 25 slots, Machining NC II – 75 slots, Mechatronics Servicing NC II – 20 slots, Shielded Metal Arc Welding NC II – 49 slots and Trainer’s Methodology Level II – 20 slots.

Domogan said, “residents should grab this opportunity as it is being offered for free.”

Interested and qualified applicants are advised to visit the Office of the City Mayor for validation and award of Certificate of Confirmation.
