BAGUIO CITY – Baguio City Police Officer-in-charge Senior Superintendent Ramil L. Saculles disclosed that with the Anti-Illegal Drug campaign plan “double barrel: reloaded” which is being closely coordinated with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA), the BCPO has arrested 208 drug personalities through police operations.
Also, 2,364 drug personalities surrendered through Oplan Tokhang and Oplan Taphang recovering 208.74 grams of shabu and 2,380 grams of marijuana leaves amounting to P1,788,129.00.
“The BCPO has accomplished additional 23 arrests of drug personalities and 27 newly drug surrenderers covering the period march to April 20 under the Project Double Barrel reloaded compromising 14 buy-bust operations and five positive police responses,” said Saculles.
“Our office has confiscated 30.5 grams of shabu and 24.405 grams of dried marijuana leaves amounting to P184,830.00.
Moreover, the four declared drug unaffected barangays are Country Club, Happy Hollow, Upper Dagsian and Lower General Luna.
As of December 2016, the Regional Oversight Committee on Illegal Drugs has declared 105 barangays in Baguio as drug cleared.
While seven barangays were recommended for drug cleared barangays still awaiting validation of the Regional Oversight Committee on Illegal Drugs namely, Campo Filipino, Quezon Hill roper, Pacdal, Ferdinand, Lower QM, Aurora Hill and Dontogan.
Saculles said that there are 12 more barangays categorized as slightly affected barangays which is subject to clearing operations to free from any drug related activities or drug related incident.
These are Pinget, Alfonso Tabora, Trancoville, Middle Quirino Hill, Padre Zamora, Saint Joseph Village, Upper Rock Quarry, Honeymoon, Loakan-Liwanag, Camp 7, Irisan and Bakakeng Central.
